01 / HER STORY

Deep in South Africa’s Knysna forest, one elephant still walks the paths her ancestors made.

Believed to be the last surviving member of the forest population, Strangefoot is over fifty years old. She should have become the matriarch of a herd. Instead, she learned to move through the trees alone.
